Have you been assessed as being dyslexic:
Yes...in the last few weeks of school. I struggled before that and my school refused to get me tested. I had a horrible time at school, got bullied etc...and got told by my teachers that I'd never make it into Uni or do a good job. When I went to college I met someone who told me that dyslexia was a great thing, and helped me get funding for a laptop to help with my coursework. I then did a honors degree and I've been working as a musican for the last two years.

I used to play anything from punk to jazz to rock and prog. Now I just play for fun now and again. Would like to get into doing something again but its having the time to do it. I like some scottish trad stuff but bagpipe stuff just ain't for me.

Hello there Eilidh welcome to my dyslexia ning site. I was a pro musician a long time ago. I started off at primary school learning the violin. Gawd I sounded like a cat being stretched on a torture rack way back then lol.
