Been very busy since I last blogged here. Got some good news and some bad news. I have been short listed for InterAction leadership programme run by the Scottish Goverment and British Council. There are 28 places and 50 candidates so I hope I can do well on the final sel;ection day on June 16th.
I have now completed my application to become a Community Interest Company which is a form of social enterprise. Just gotta send it all off and wait and see.
I also have got a contract to supply dyslexia support at one university here in Edinburgh and also the prospect of other work at other Universitys.
I have also made an application for a Masters degree course in Inclusive Education. Not sure how this will go and I will also need to look for funding to do this.
Also now a member of Fife Chamber of Commerce and sitting on the committee of Fife Social Enterprise Network.
The one bit of bad news is I am no longer working with Microlink. It was something I had been expecting because it was just not working. I felt I was not getting any real support from management. For example, I had asked to shadow somebode else doing this job in another area. But heard nothing about it. I also felt Microlink were not really committed to set up here.
Still we ended amicably and I have a good reference from them and the possiblity of other work in the future.
